About CFO Fort Worth
Why cfofortworth.com exists
Owners in Fort Worth looking for a CFO usually want one thing first. We hear the same want, to know which jobs pay. The crews are out, the invoices go, and the year looks busy, yet nobody can say which work earned its keep and which only kept people occupied. This site is built around that question. Everything on it is about seeing profit job by job and acting on what you see.

The people behind the site
Steven Palmieri is a Tax CFO, which the practice also calls the Entrepreneur's CFO, working for owners who run their own companies. Steven and his team run the practice behind this site, a short drive up the road in Dallas, Texas, which makes us neighbors. We know how a Tuesday in Tarrant County runs, with the trucks, the weather and the supplier's schedule.
A Tax CFO watches the books, prepares the return and helps an owner settle the year's choices before it closes. For a job business that means a month closed with each cost on its job, a page showing what each job left, and the tax planning done from those same numbers.

What the pages cover
Each page takes one question a job owner asks and works it through in plain language. Which jobs paid. How to bid the next one. What work in progress and retainage mean. Whether to add a crew. What a second location costs before it earns. Which taxes leave the bank, and when. Every interior has a made-up job with round numbers, so you can see how the arithmetic goes without seeing anybody's real books.
CFO Fort Worth is the name we use for this work. We write in plain words, because a crew lead should be able to read it over breakfast.
What the site is not
The site cannot stand in for a licensed firm when a surety, a lender or a general contractor requires signed statements, and it offers no legal advice on liens or contracts. The line has a single home on the page about the jobs we close and the reports we don't sign. You will find no promise of a result, a price or a savings figure on any page. Any fee goes in writing before work starts, after we have seen the books.
